Dave Sonday, Customer Service
Dave joined GoldCom in customer service in 1996, selling voice, data, and security equipment to contractors, government organizations, and schools. He enjoys providing clients with excellent customer service every day.
In his free time, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and three adult children, as well as playing and coaching tennis.
Daniel (DJ) Goldenstein, Customer Service
DJ started with GoldCom around 2012 in customer service, but is also involved with the marketing and website sides of the business. He enjoys helping clients in many areas of the business, including working at the warehouse, navigating the website, handling invoices, and more.
On the side, DJ is a volunteer firefighter for Mendota Heights and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Dan Whelan, Warehouse Manager
Dan joined GoldCom in 2020 as a warehouse worker and driver. He was promoted to warehouse manager in 2024, and his responsibilities include shipping and receiving as well as overall management of warehouse operations.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with family, playing golf, and listening to live rock 'n' roll.
Juli Schneider, Administrative Assistant
Juli joined GoldCom in April of 2026 as the administrative assistant. In this role, she answers phones, staffs the front desk, and manages customer billing. Juli enjoys being the first point of contact when customers call or come in.
In her spare time, she is a home horticulturist and an avid conversationalist, and in the summer, she enjoys weekend jaunts to an RV park.
John Holthaus, Purchasing
John joined GoldCom in 2019 as a customer service representative. He handles quoting and advising on projects and manages the local, state, and federal contracts. He works to ensure that our customers’ needs are met and exceeded.
Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his wife and family, concentrating on physical fitness, sports, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
Scott Goldenstein, President
Scott has been with GoldCom since the start on Jan. 17, 1990, and over the years has worked in every position at one time or another. Today, Scott continues to enjoy working directly with customers and helping fulfill their needs while overseeing day-to-day operations.
When not working at GoldCom, Scott can often be found working at the Fire Station or spending time with his wife and family.
Jim Weber, Shipping/Receiving
Jim joined GoldCom in March of 2023 and handles numerous shipping/receiving and warehouse responsibilities. From shipping out material to receiving trucks and deliveries. He is an expert with the forklift and works to ensure every order is filled 100%.
In his off-time, Jim enjoys playing guitar, spending time with his family, canoeing, and making killer BBQ.
Richard Olchefski, Shipping/Receiving/Driver
Richard started in August of 2024. His daily responsibilities include shipping/receiving, order fulfillment, stocking, and GoldCom deliveries. Using our cargo van or short truck, our customers are always happy to see Richard bringing them the materials they need to get the job done.
When not working at GoldCom, Richard can be found playing with his 3 dogs and spending time learning about new and upcoming technologies.
Bob Benjamin, Accounting/Bookkeeper
Bob has been with GoldCom since July 2023 and oversees our bookkeeping and accounting duties. From day-to-day processing of payments and receivables, he handles reconciling, balancing, and forecasting.
In Bob’s free time, he is a seasoned baseball card collector with extensive full-season collections as well as numerous rare and sought-after cards. He enjoys attending his grandkids' ballgames and taking them out to lunch.
Marc Johnson, Customer Service
Marc joined GoldCom in customer service in 2025, selling voice, data, and security equipment to contractors, government organizations, and schools. He handles quoting and advising on projects.
Marc enjoys spending time with his wife and three adult children.
